Kazimierz Dolny is one of the best-loved small towns in Poland. Its Reneissance architecture survived intact the wars and invasions of the last four centuries; surrounded by woody hills and rolling farmfields.
My parents were born and raised nearby, so when I went to Poland in 2002 to see my extended family, I managed to see Kazimierz as well.
This was a folk festival, with performers and artists from all Poland descending on the market square. I enjoyed the experience very much, and here are some pictures.
