Tulum, Mexico

Tulum, about 100 miles south of Cancun, is best known for its Mayan ruins, dramatically overlooking the Caribbean Sea. The place has, however, more to offer: a long beach running for miles and miles to the South, with the village stretched along it, where life is slow and simple.

Note of 2005: The cheap Ritz scans of 1999 are embarrassingly bad, even by the standards of that time. I hope to re-scan the negatives with a modern scanner "any time soon".
