Surprisingly, at the wide end the lens is way sharper than I ever expected, from F/5.6 to F/11. Even at F/4.8 (that's an extra half-stop) it is quite good.

The siding to the left of the fence (on which focus was set) keeps improving all the way to F/11, but I think it is just increasing depth-of-field.

There is some vignetting at F/4.8, gone at F/5.6.

At 150 mm, the mid-range, the lens performs nicely, thank you, from the wide-open F/5.6 to the diffraction limit of F/11, with F/8 a tad better than the other two. Again, better than I expected from a compact and lightweight, long tele zoom. Just forget about F/16 and beyond.

Remember, the focus was set on the fence to the left of the tree trunk. That's where we have to look for resolution at 300 mm.

Long zooms perform quite badly at the long end. This one does quite well from F/5.6 to F/11, with a closer look setting my preference at F/8, where the lens may compete with some more expensive glass.
